Privacy policy
Last updated: July 25, 2026
Sarah Bryan Therapy ("SBT," "we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have — both as a website visitor and as a client of the practice.
Information we collect
We collect information in a few different ways:
- Information you give us directly — name, contact details, insurance information, referral details, and anything you share when scheduling, calling, emailing, or filling out an intake form.
- Health information — clinical notes, assessments, treatment plans, and progress records created as part of your care.
- Website usage information — pages visited, browser type, and general location, collected automatically when you use this site.
- Mobile phone number and SMS consent — if you choose to receive appointment text messages, we collect your mobile phone number and maintain a record of your consent.
How we use it
We use the information we collect to:
- Schedule, provide, and follow up on care
- Communicate with you about appointments, billing, and your treatment plan
- Coordinate with referring providers and insurance carriers, with your authorization
- Improve this website and understand how it's used
- Meet our legal, regulatory, and record-keeping obligations
- Send appointment reminders, confirmations, scheduling updates, and other administrative messages by SMS when you have provided consent
Health information
Protected health information created during your care is handled in line with applicable health privacy law. That law — not this website policy — governs how we use and disclose your clinical records.
Sharing & disclosure
We do not sell your personal or health information. We may share information with:
- Referring physicians and other providers involved in your care
- Insurance carriers, for billing and claims purposes
- Service providers who support our scheduling, billing, or records systems, under confidentiality obligations
- Authorities, where required by law or to protect health and safety
